Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a retail storefront?
At this time, Spack Craft Fabric is only online although we offer Curbside Pick-up in Binbrook, ON! We are proudly Canadian!
Do you sell by the yard or the meter?
We sell by the half-yard, however your order will be in 1 continuous cut.
Our system does not allow for decimals, so the quantity works as follows:
1 = half yard
2 = 1 yard
3 = 1.5 yards
4 = 2 yards
and so on...
In order to calculate your quantity to order, multiply your requirements in yards (x) by 2 to find out how many half yards you need to order.
Examples: 2.5 yards = 5 half yards, 4 yards = 8 half yards, 6 yards = 12 half yards
You are a Canadian shop, why do you choose to use yards as your unit of measure?
This is often a polarizing decision! Most online fabric retailers are selling by the half-yard or yard. This allows us to present an easily comparable price-point.
The way the inventory works in the shop, we can't offer both, so choosing to sell by yards in the end was a business decision. If you are in need of a particular cut in meters, please contact us and we can discuss a custom cut.
What is your Cutting Policy?
We are glad you asked! Our default is to cut regular width quilting cottons and tear wideback quilting cotton. Check out more details on our cutting policy page here!
Do you ever have sales or offer other discounts?
We are a small shop just getting started! We will be offering an exclusive coupon code in our monthly Newsletter for subscribers.
Check out our Blog, Facebook page and Instagram for the occasional bonus coupon code!

Do you offer Oversized Lettermail for small orders?
We have removed all non-tracked options for the time being as we have recently have had some issues with packages going missing in the mail as well as general delays due to the pandemic.
We apologize as we realize that Lettermail offers a more economical rate to receive your order. As a small business, we can't afford to replace your order if it goes missing, as such, we will only be offering tracked shipping services that offer liability coverage going forward. This protects both our customers and our business. We want your fabric to get to you safe and sound!
Thank you for understanding!
Why are your shipping costs so high?
Retailers that offer free shipping and reduced rates are absorbing the costs within the markup of their product. In order to keep our price per half yard at what we consider a fair price point, we have decided that to offer real time shipping estimates straight from Canada Post (slightly reduced through Shopify).
We offer several options to offset these shipping costs:
- Curbside Pickup (in Binbrook, ON) is always free
- Free local delivery to the Greater Hamilton Area on orders of $25 or more. ($5 for orders under $25)
- $10 Flat rate shipping in Canada on orders $75 or more.
- Free shipping on orders of $150 or more.
We are currently revisiting our shipping strategy and available partners to try to improve on this issue!
See our shipping and pick-up information here.
How do shipping overages work?
Shipping overages of $1 or more (before taxes) will be automatically refunded when your order is fulfilled. This happens sometimes when we are able to package smaller orders in a more economical fashion.
Do you offer any bulk discounts?
If you want to order by the bolt, please contact us and we can discuss a bulk discount rate and time frame for delivery.
Can you special order fabric?
If it is available from one of our distributors, we can special order it for you! All special orders must be paid for in advance and must be at least 5 yards in quantity. Please note that with the pandemic, allow for extra time and delays between ordering and receiving the fabric.
What is a Brand Ambassador?
This is a program we are running to help promote use of our fabric in other small businesses! To qualify, you must have your own business and strong social media skills. We offer a limited amount of positions, for more information, click here.
